Randall Martin lives and works in Beacon. He has been a graphic designer since the late 1980s and started making paintings a couple of years ago after missing making work with his hands, away from the computer. He has been influenced by artists who have been concerned with the play of color and geometric forms from the early 20th century through the color field and geometric abstract painters of 60's and 70's and more recently by contemporary artists like Callum Innes. He goes along with Frank Stella's aphorism "What you see is what you see."

All pieces are acrylic painted on birch wood panels.
