Truck City is back!
Responding to the lack of affordable studio space, many of last year's artists rented moving trucks and set up their studios inside then parked them all together creating a temporary city of creativity. The result were astounding. Artists whose work you would normally never get to see creating pop-up mobile exhibition spaces for themselves. Expect to see Truck City re-appear outside of Spire Studios again this year.
2011
Beacon Open Studios 2011 was a huge success. Over 60 artists in less than 4 square miles opened up their studios. Painting, drawings, sculpture, video, interactive installations and more were on view all over town.
