                          Frequently asked questions

                          When is Beacon Open Studios?
                          April 28-29, 2012

                          Where is Beacon Open Studios?
All over town. BOS is an event wherein artists throughout the city of Beacon make their work open to the public. Visitors go on self-guided tours to the artist studios of their choosing.

                          How do I sign up?
Fill out the form on the registration page and turn it in with the registration fee.

Does it cost money to participate?
Yes. Registration fees range from $20-$75 depending on how early you sign up and if you choose to volunteer.

I am an artist who lives in Beacon. My studio is in my home but I don't want strangers coming into my house to view my art. Can I still participate?
Absolutely. After you register we can put you in touch with other artists who are in the same predicament so you can join forces and look for a place to show your work together. We will pass on leads for spaces available for the open studios weekend.

Do you provide studios for anyone?
No. Each artists is responsible for finding and paying for their own studio space.

I am an artist but I don't live in Beacon and I don't have a studio there. Can I participate in Beacon Open Studios?
Sorry. Beacon Open Studios exists to showcase the talent that lives and grows in our unique city. It is for artists who either live in Beacon or who have a studio in Beacon.
