2011
Beacon Open Studios 2011 was a huge success. Over 60 artists in less than 4 square miles opened up their studios. Painting, drawings, sculpture, video, interactive installations and more were on view all over town.
New in 2011: Truck City
Responding to the lack of affordable studio space, many of this year's artists rented moving trucks and set up their studios inside then parked them all together creating a temporary city of creativity. The result were astounding. Artists whose work you would normally never get to see creating pop-up mobile exhibition spaces for themselves. Expect to see Truck City re-appear in 2012.
